The value derived from mistakes
For me 2023 was one of the most exciting years I have ever had in the history of my life. It was the most challenging year for me as you all know that challenges are my food. It is not a secret that challenges excite and ignite me. So 2023 was one of those years for me.
Just like any other year, I do seek to derive value out of each year I go through. By the way, I am very much grateful for life. I am very glad to have made it out of old year of 2023 into the new year of 2024. There are various things are learnt in 2023 that I wish to share in this post at your permission.
Yes life is challenging this days. Things are tough yes but we need to keep going. We need to keep going forward. We have not been promised a life without challenges. Such a life would be boring though. We need to go from challenge to challenge so we may grow and evolve. So in this blog post, we are looking at the various lessons I learnt in the previous year. I hope this helps you for the new year. The lessons are learnt in the new year are:
- Life goes on
Instead of whining and complaining, I had to learn the hard way that life goes on. Let bygones be bygones. Life is too precious to be stuck on who did what and who did not do what. Whether we are moving or sitting, life will always go on. Learn today to move with life and live the past in the past. Whatever happened happened and everything happens and happened for a reason. If you can leave the past in the past, the future will be healthy and fruitful.
- My life is my responsibility
It starts with me and you. Your life is your responsibility. You are the one holding the steering wheel. You are the one who can steer this car called your life to the right or the wrong direction. This is one of the most powerful lessons I always learn each year. The more the events of the year, the more this life comes to my mind. The more this lesson is so strong in my life. I hope you relate. You see, you are incontrol. You are incharge. At this realisation, it’s time to do better. Would you? The ball is in your caught.
- There are lovers and there are haters
We as people sometimes confuse our lovers for our haters and our haters for our lovers. I realised that there are those who would love you unprovoked and also those who would hate you unprovoked. It would be so wrong of us to expect to be loved by everyone. We are not money after all. Life has to be balanced you see. For every positive, there is a negative and for every fake there is the genuine and the true. For white there is black. I hope you understand.
Value and cherish those who love you. Love is a gift. Not everyone is out there to get you. Not everyone is set to destroy you but be wise as a serpent at the end of the day. People can either love you or hate you. There is no in between. Life would be so boring if everyone loved us because how would we grow? This things are good for our next level. Allow all your haters to fulfill their mission of advancing you.
- Money is very important in life
We can live without it yes but we would be so limited. It takes money to do good and it also takes the very same money to do bad. Money can be the most powerful tool of life if it can be embraced as such. There are many things that stops when money is not there. I realised that money is one of the most important ideas God ever gave man.
I remember I was once one of those people who thought money is not important. Thank God my mindset shifted for the better. Year in and year out I now realise that money is very important and has a special role to play in our day to day living. I am not saying run after money but all I am saying is that money is very important in our lives. This year, I urge you to make and have money please. There is no need to be religious about this though.
- Without God man cannot and without man, God will not.
God is the ultimate source of life. The very oxygen we breathe. Personally, I am nothing without God. I will also do nothing without God. God is my source. God is my life. I depend on him. I wonder how life would be if God was not a factor in my life. Life would be so tasteless and saltless without God.
Everything starts with God because before anything and everything he was. He holds and knows all things. This is always one of my top lessons for each and every year. I wonder how life would be without God. Have a goal of finding God this year and enjoy and experience what we enjoy and experience. It is never too late. The door is still open.
CONCLUSION
The valuable lessons needed for progress
Just like I said, we all experience different things each and every year. If we are really serious about progress, we need to derive and extract valuable insights and lessons from each and every year we go through. Life is not easy but we need to at all times forge our way forward. Hang in there.
You don’t really have time as time flies this days. Do whatever you need to do so that you can see the results. Results are best preachers as they will preach the gospel of your life effectively. The year is still young, go for the fruits. Go for the change that is relevant for your life. Focus this year. This year has to be different for you.
Don’t just pass mistakes. Go back to all the mistakes you have done last year and make all the necessary and relevant changes. Change is good. Change is necessary. You can’t change if you don’t visit all your mistakes and make a plan to revisit and correct them.
Make the necessary corrections and see how beautiful will your year be. Don’t come with the mistakes of the previous years into the new year. If you can correct all your mistakes this year, the best is yet to come. Till we meet again in the next post. Peace
