The 3 Powerful Acts Of Righteousness

The reality of righteousness

Righteousness is your portion in Christ. God has made you righteous in Christ. This is the reality in Christ but is it a reality in your normal day to day life? Though this is the reality in Christ, it also has to be the reality in your real and normal day to day living. Jesus has made you righteous in Christ through his blood on the cross.

For some people this is a reality while to some people this is not yet real and alive. This fact has to be real in your earthily life the very same way it is so real in Christ. In Christ you are righteous but on earth we do not see the reality. We have to see the reality of the righteousness even on earth.

Though you have been credited with righteousness in Christ because of the cross, that reality need to be active in your own life too. Your day to day living must prove the fact that indeed Jesus died for you on the cross. This is the truth. Today we are looking at the various ways of practicing righteousness. There are acts of righteousness you need to practice in your life as the redeemed of the Lord. The following are the three acts of righteousness one must practice due to being righteous in Christ:

Prayer is one of the acts of righteousness. When you pray, you pray from the position of righteousness in Christ. When you pray, you are actually exercising and practicing your righteousness which is already a reality in Christ Jesus. When you are praying, you are demonstrating righteousness.

Prayer is one of the fruits of righteousness. You pray with the consciousness and the believe that you are righteousness because of the mere fact of being in Christ. Yes in Christ you are righteous because of the cross but you also need to live out that reality by fully practicing it on the earthily realm. Prayer is an act of righteousness. When you pray, you are simply demonstrating your righteousness.

Just as you are practicing and exercising righteousness as you pray, even as you give you are demonstrating righteousness. As you give, God is able to increase your righteousness. You give because you are in Christ and in Christ lies the righteousness which came because of the cross. Giving is one of the most powerful acts of righteousness. When you give, know and understand one thing, you are acting out your righteousness that is in Christ Jesus because of the death and blood of Jesus.

When you fast, you are acting out your righteousness which is in Christ Jesus. It is good to fast mainly for spiritual purposes. Fasting is a spiritual thing. It also one of the catalysts of your spiritual growth. It has so many benefits that it can bring in to your life. Go and check the article concerning the benefits of fasting. Fasting is one of the fruits of righteousness. When you are fasting, you are performing and living out your righteousness which is in Christ Jesus because of the cross of Jesus Christ. This is only the reality in Christ. Is it a reality in your life? When you fast, you are therefore practicing righteousness.

FINAL THOUGHTS

You are righteous in Christ

Righteousness must be acted upon. You speak Sesotho because you are a Sotho person. You win because you are a winner. God has provided the righteouness element into your life through the blood of Jesus. Yours is to make the whole fact a reality in your own life. You have to live out the whole thing.
