The power of the waiting period
Waiting is a thing in the kingdom of God. If you are in the kingdom of God, understand one thing, you are going to have to wait for things to happen in your life. Yes, God makes people wait and he has several reasons for doing so. Every kingdom has it’s own culture and a way of doing things.
Sometimes you are not going through a delay but a genuine waiting period. You have to know the real difference between delay and waiting. God can sometimes cause you to wait for certain things to happen in your life. You might have prayed for certain things in your life. By now it looks like they are taking forever. It looks like they are not going to happen. Let me encourage you, they are going to happen.
Whatever you have prayed for is going to happen. You are going to fulfill your assignment. You are going to reach where you have to reach. You are going to be all you have to be. Impatience destroys. Don’t waste and destroy the process God has already started because of being in a hurry. Now, Why Does God make you wait? God makes you wait for the following 3 powerful reasons:
- Learning
Are you in the waiting period? Rest assured, there are things God wants you to learn about him, yourself or life in general. You see, God thinks in bigger pictures. God will always use the waiting period to teach some powerful lessons that will be beneficial for the road ahead. Nothing is useless in the kingdom of God. Nothing is a waste. God hates waste by the way. There is something God is doing in your life that is way too bigger than what you are thinking of right now.
Since God has put you in the classroom, yours is to learn. Yours is to draw important lessons. Yours is to open your eyes. It is not that deep. At the end of the day, God is making you wait for your own learning. It’s a learning season for you, so learn as much as you can. Don’t skip classes.
- Development
Another powerful reason God makes you wait is that he wants to develop you. Note this, before God can do anything with you, he will seek to first develop you. He will want to mature and grow you. Growth is very vital and crucial for the battles and tough situations ahead. When God makes you wait, he is busy trying to develop you for the journey ahead. This is your time of development. Make sure you don’t skip it.
- Destructions
There are things on the road that can harm you. You see, there is a lot we don’t see and know. At times God is busy dealing with those things on our behalf. He gets busy destroying anything that can disturb and harm us on the road. Just like the robot system, there is a red color which stops other cars and a green color which allows and opens for others to move forward. Even God is like that.
By sometimes making you wait, he is clearing the path ahead. He is levelling the potholes on the road. He is busy making the crooked places straight. He is destroying anything negative that can hinder and destroy you ahead. Like I said before, there is a lot you don’t see and know. You better trust God now. Your life depends on it.
FINAL THOUGHTS
It will be worth it in the end
Waiting is not wasting time, as long as it is God who said wait. Whatever you have prayed for in God, you are going to have to wait for it. There is a lot that must happen before your answer could be delivered to you. There is a lot events that take place before the final delivery of the answer.
Believe me when I say it will be worth it at the end. You will thank yourself for being this patience. At the end of the day, impatience destroys. Exercise patience. In all due time you shall make it as well. When it’s all said and done. Just hang in there. You are closer than ever before. It will happen for you as well. Just wait on God and trust him. He has a reputation of answering prayers.
